Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SalesKnit collects, uses, discloses and safeguards personal information when you visit our website, create an account or use our customer relationship, commerce, booking and business operations services.
When an organization uses SalesKnit to manage information about its customers, staff or other contacts, that organization controls the information it submits. SalesKnit processes that information on the organization’s behalf and its own privacy notices may also apply.
Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with SalesKnit. It may include:
- Account and profile information, such as your name, email address, phone number, organization, role and sign-in credentials.
- Business content you or your organization enter into the service, including customer records, notes, product data, appointments, orders, invoices and related files.
- Billing and transaction details. Payment card information may be collected directly by our payment providers rather than stored by SalesKnit.
- Usage and device data, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, feature interactions, dates, times and diagnostic logs.
- Communications you send to us, including support requests, feedback and survey responses.
- Information received from integrations or third-party services you choose to connect.
How we use information
We use personal information to operate, improve and protect SalesKnit, including to:
- Provide, configure and maintain the service and authenticate users.
- Process transactions, send operational notices and provide customer support.
- Personalize workspaces and improve product performance, reliability and usability.
- Monitor for misuse, secure accounts, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
- Send product updates or marketing communications where permitted. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
- Create aggregated or de-identified insights that do not reasonably identify an individual.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet contractual commitments, comply with law, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information, the context in which it was collected and workspace settings.
When information is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it in line with our retention practices. Residual copies may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten or expire.
Security
We use administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No service or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing of your personal information, or to receive a portable copy. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and complain to a data protection authority.
If your information was provided to SalesKnit by one of our customers, please contact that organization first. We will assist it with verified requests as required. To make a request directly to us, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
International data transfers
SalesKnit and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for these transfers and take steps designed to protect information in accordance with this policy.
Children’s privacy
SalesKnit is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent would be required. If you believe a child has provided information to us improperly, please contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. If a change is material, we may also provide notice through the service or another appropriate channel.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at [email protected].
